Families and keiki dressed in their favorite costumes are invited to celebrate Ala-Ween Spooktacular, the annual Halloween event at Ala Moana Center, on Thursday, October 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. Throughout the center, more than 100 merchants throughout the center will hand out candy and other sweet surprises. In the ‘Ewa Wing Court, join bubble-filled dance party hosted by The Hawaii DJ, enjoy free custom balloon creations by Adventure Balloons, and snap a photo at the haunted house selfie wall.


Plus, visit early and enjoy festive treats, specials, and events at participating stores and restaurants and throughout the center.


  • Agave & Vine: Enjoy Halloween-themed cocktails all October long. Mall Level 2, Lānai @ Ala Moana Center.
  • The Alley: On October 31, from 4 to 7 p.m., buy one drink and get the second at 50% off. Mall Level 2, Ewa Wing.
  • Chick-fil-A: Enjoy seasonal menu items including the Banana Pudding Milkshake and Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich, available now through November 15. Street Level 1, Makai Market Food Court.
  • Children’s Play Area: Keiki can play and climb with giant spiders on the 20-foot-tall climbing structure at the Children’s Play Area. Level 3, Mauka Wing.
  • Nightmare Bar: For chilling drinks and a ghoulishly good time, visit Nightmare Bar. Open October 4 to 31, 5 p.m. to midnight. Street Level 1, Ewa Wing.
  • Pinkbox: Throughout the month of October, spend $25 or more and receive a free face mask. Mall Level 2, Mauka Wing.
  • Spirit Halloween: Get ready for Halloween with costumes, décor, and collectibles at Spirit Halloween, your one-stop shop for all things spooky and fun. Street Level 1, Mauka Wing.

 

Halloween Safety Guidelines

  • Ala Moana Center reserves the right to prohibit the wearing of any costume that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the family-oriented environment we seek to maintain.
  • Costumes (not including masks) may be worn by adults and children.
  • Masks may only be worn by children ages 13 and younger while accompanied by an adult, and the eyes of the person wearing the mask must be visible and unobstructed.
  • Makeup, face paintings, and/or elaborate hairstyles that conceal a person’s identity are prohibited.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable, or violent.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons or anything that resembles a weapon or anything that could easily be mistaken for a weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that could accidentally strike another person.
  • Costumes may not be overly long or drag on the ground.
