ALA MOANA CENTER ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF
13 NEW STORES TO RETAIL LINEUP
HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I – Ala Moana Center announced today the addition of 13 new retail and dining tenants, several of which are opening their first Hawai‘i stores. The new retailers will offer shoppers an even larger and more diverse selection of apparel, accessories and dining options.
“We are pleased to welcome these new retailers to Ala Moana Center,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for General Growth Properties Hawai‘i. “The fact that eight national or international retail chains are opening their first stores in Hawai‘i at Ala Moana Center is encouraging news for our market. Blazin’ Steaks – Located Level 1, Makai Market Food Court
Blazin’ Steaks, found only in Hawai‘i, offers delicious grilled-to-order steak, chicken and fish plates at an unbeatable price.
Brontibay Paris – Located Level 2, Nordstrom Wing
Brontibay, a leather goods designer based in France, is known for its fashionable, fun and functional designs. The 932-square foot store is the first Brontibay in Hawai‘i.
Custo Barcelona – Located Level 3, Sears Wing
Custo Barcelelona is known worldwide for its unique design elements and use of vibrant color combinations in apparel and accessories. Ala Moana Center’s Custo Barcelona is the first in Hawai‘i.
Salvatore Ferragamo – Located Level 2, Macy’s Wing
Salvatore Ferragamo recently moved to its new 2,871-square-foot store. The luxury Italian retail store offers sophisticated shoes, handbags, scarves, belts, and a ready-to-wear collection.
Spiral Girl– Located Level 3, Sears Wing
Spiral Girl, a casual luxury brand from Japan, specializes in young and adult women’s apparel and also collaborates with Maxi Hawaiian Jewelry, offering shoppers their own and modern designs.

Aeropostale – Located Level 3, Sears Wing
A specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories for young men and women, the store will be the first Aeropostale in Hawai‘i when it opens in May 2009.
Goma Tei Ramen – Located Level 1, Makai Side
Goma Tei Ramen, known for its authentic Japanese ramen, noodles and other Japanese specialties, is scheduled to open in May 2009.
Miu Miu – Located Level 3, Center Court
Miu Miu will join Ala Moana Center's esteemed collection of luxury merchants and become the brand’s first Hawai‘i location when its new 3,752-square-foot store opens in May 2009. Miu Miu, Prada’s sister brand, is known for its feminine, sophisticated and fashion-forward designs.
Wetzel’s Pretzels – Located Level 1, Makai Market Food Court
Wetzel’s Pretzels, a well-known international chain specializing in soft pretzels and other original menu items, will open in May 2009.
Kate Spade – Located Level 2, Sears Wing
Kate Spade, rooted in timeless, fashionable and enduring quality from handbags, shoes and glasses, to paper and beauty products, will open in June 2009.
Michael Kors – Located Level 2, Macy’s Wing
Well-known American designer Michael Kors, star of the popular “Project Runway” show, will debut his first stand-alone store in Hawai‘i at Ala Moana Center. The new store will feature a wide array of Kors’ luxury accessories, fragrances, ready-to-wear items, signature men’s and women’s sportswear, and more. Michael Kors’ 2,871-square-foot location is slated to open in June 2009.
