“The Christmas Gift of Aloha” Stage Show and Parade
Keep the children happy and in the holiday spirit by letting them experience the excitement of a simulated snowfall and a winter wonderland.  Ala Moana Center presents its annual holiday stage show, “The Christmas Gift of Aloha,” for its fifth and final year.  The musical act brings award-winning author Lisa Matsumoto’s children’s story to life by following the adventures of Merry, a newly trained Christmas Elf, who falls from Santa’s sleigh to find himself in Hawai‘i.  The free stage show will be held at Centerstage every night at 6 p.m. (except Mondays) through Dec. 23, 2008.  After each performance at 7 p.m., watch Santa ride his illuminated sleigh during a joyful holiday parade through Ala Moana Center, joined by characters from the show.

Candy Cane Train
Another way for kids to stay merry is by riding Ala Moana Center's popular holiday train ride attraction.  Throughout the day, children can ride the 30-foot long Candy Cane Train, inspired by “The Christmas Gift of Aloha” storybook, on a sing-along journey throughout the mall.  Candy Cane Train rides will be offered daily at 20-minute increments through Dec. 24, 2008.  Same-day tickets are sold at The Candy Cane Train Depot, and advance tickets are available at the Customer Service Center.

Photos with Santa
Surprise the children with a Santa sighting!  Old Saint Nick has been checking his list all year long, and has arrived at Ala Moana Center to tell children just how nice they’ve been.  Capture the family’s Christmas cheer in a photo with Santa at the Menehune Toy Shop, which also features animatronic elves, Hawaiian toys and a real waterfall.  The Menehune Toy Shop, located at Street Level across from Centerstage, opens at 10 a.m. daily.  Photos start at $15.99.

“Gift of the Year” Giveaway
Need yet another incentive to visit the center?  How about the chance to become the envy of all Honolulu by rolling up into a personal reserved VIP parking stall at Ala Moana Center?  Ala Moana Center is offering a fabulous opportunity to win the “Gift of the Year” – a reserved parking stall for one entire year, beginning Jan. 1, 2009, as well as a coveted Ala Moana Center $500 gift card that can be used at most of the center’s stores and restaurants.  Entry forms will be available in Ala Moana Center's weekly Holiday Hit List, and at the Marriott Information Kiosks located on Mall Level Two and Level Three of the center’s new retail wing, featuring Nordstrom and 30 new retailers.  Entries are limited to one per person, and participants must be 16 years of age or older.  Entry forms must be dropped off at one of the
