Stores Relocate at Ala Moana Center
Victoria's Secret Prepares to Move In
Ala Moana Center announced today changes taking place within the Center to make way for Hawai‘i’s highly anticipated Victoria's Secret store, slated to open on Oct. 1.
“We’re thrilled that Victoria’s Secret, one of our customers’ top requested shops, has chosen Ala Moana Center to open its flagship Hawai‘i store,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for General Growth Properties of Hawai‘i. “In anticipation of this exciting new addition, some of our customers’ favorite stores are either in the process of relocating or have moved.”
The new Victoria’s Secret store will be the brand’s first to the state, carrying full lines of its fashion-inspired collections, PINK and Sexy Little Things merchandise, loungewear, sleepwear, intimate apparel, and VS beauty line of fragrances and cosmetics. The 20,000-square-foot Victoria’s Secret will fill the spaces formerly occupied by Gap and The Disney Store on Level 2 of the Sears Wing, and will be adjacent to the bebe store.
Gap recently opened its new 15,749-square-foot store, which now encompasses GapKids, babyGap and GapBody. Gap’s new location is on Level 3 of the Sears Wing in the former Foot Locker store, near Abercrombie & Fitch – Women’s.
The Disney Store, previously located on Level 2 of the Sears Wing, closed on March 31. When it reopens in June 2009, the new 5,023-square-foot Disney Store will be located on Level 2 of the Macy’s Wing, between Guess and Tori Richard.
Foot Locker has temporarily relocated to the Makai side of Level 1 near Old Navy. In October 2009, Foot Locker will move to its new permanent 4,968-square-foot location on Level 3 of the Sears Wing, between the new Gap store and Abercrombie & Fitch – Women’s.
