ALA MOANA CENTER ADDS EXPRESS AND TWO MORE
FIRST-TO-HAWAI‘I STORES TO ITS NEW WING
HONOLULU, HAWAI‘I – Ala Moana Center announced today the addition of popular national retailer Express to its exciting lineup of new stores. Express, slated to open in Winter 2008, offers “what’s new and what’s now” for young fashion-forward men and women. The sexy, sophisticated styles are ideal for work, the weekend, or going out. The 10,477-square foot store will be located on the third level of Ala Moana Center’s brand-new retail wing that opened this past March, and will be the first Express in the state of Hawai‘i.
“We are excited to continue bringing in retailers that are not only new to Ala Moana Center, but new to the Hawai‘i market,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for Hawai‘i region of General Growth Properties, Inc. “As home to numerous first-to-Hawai‘i stores, including Nordstrom, Stuart Weitzman, Club Monaco, and J. Crew, Ala Moana Center is setting the pace for fashion-forward, trend-setting shoppers.”
Another new addition to the Center’s expansion wing is Brontibay Paris, a leather goods designer based in France. Brontibay is known for its fashionable, fun and functional designs. The 932-square foot store is scheduled to open on the mall level of the new wing in December 2008, and will be the first Brontibay in Hawai‘i. The brand will be right at home at Ala Moana Center – the Winter 2009 line includes the "Hawaii," a large nylon satin shopper style handbag, and “Honolulu,” the same bag made with washed sheepskin full grain leather.
Rounding out the new wing will be Brighton Collectibles, a national retailer offering an array of handbags, footwear, eyewear, and jewelry, specializing in personalized accessories designed for every personality and style. The 1,570-square foot store will open in October 2008 on the third level of the new retail wing, next to Chico's.
